Good morning,
Dear participants of the 14th International Biophilia Rehabilitation Conference of BIOPHILIA 2017!
It is well known tendency that people around the world lives longer. Besides the positive aspects of longer life, older age also can be related to functional decline, need of assistance and social isolation. The aim of rehabilitation is to enable people with disabilities to reach and maintain their capacity and it means that principles of rehabilitation could be applicable for older people. It is chalange for society to find the optimal ways to support healthy ageing and facilitate the sense of good life among older people. I think, it is very important to search for good practices and learn from experiences around the world. Therefore, today I am very excited to welcome prof. Takizawa and his colleagues from Japan and the colleagues from Poland, to learn more about their research and practice in field of rehabilitation for older people.
I wish interesting and inspiring day for everyone!
